Is it a brunette thing? We’re not a hundred percent sure. Yet given by the looks of our catwalk images lavender might just be a brunette only trend. At least the pastel shade looks ravishing on each and everyone of those models, from Bottega Veneta to Erdem. Not one to wear tons of color? You might want to skip this trend. Cause when it comes to this shade there’s no holding back. You need to lavish in lavender; we’re talking head to toe looks. Skirts & sweaters (Michael Kors), sheer maxi dresses (Missoni) and full on colored suits (Victoria Beckham). Works perfectly against a sunny holiday backdrop and it might just make a rainy summer day a whole lot less gloomy.

We’ve seen the underwear = outerwear trend come and go for several seasons now, yet this time around it’s a little different. Underwear is to be seen, yet isn’t fully exposed. That means you wear your fanciest (high waisted) briefs and rock a sheer pair or skirts on top of it to let it shine through. So you’ll have anyone you encounter staring, even if it is just for a brief moment. No basic briefs and bras allowed, your undies should be as bold as your transparent dress. Just click through our gallery and see how the designers at Dior, Fendi, Galliano and Margiela made the trend work. Striped, neon or latex; showstopping lingerie is key this summer.

No matter the coolest chain, handles, rings or shoulder straps; you should be carrying your bag in your hand this season. Of course you can wrap or tie those chains around your hand or wrist, but make sure not to use any of it’s functionality. The most practical way to wear something simply just isn’t always the coolest way. So for that picture perfect don’t stuff it and carelessly hold it in your hand (or slightly push it against your hip. The midi bag (Valentino, Balenciaga, Balmain) serves this trend perfectly although Miu Miu, Valentino and Michael Kors proved it works with bigger (almost completely empty) bags too. Now try shopping 😉

Some of the biggest names in the game like Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Valentino threw their own little plastic party. Balmain is even taking the trend one step further as the brand’s FW2018 collection fully focuses on the material as well. From convenient raincoats to dresses, handbags and even see through boots; we’re loving the fact that plastic can look this fantastic. Shiny, futuristic, recyclable and even kind of sexy if you like.
