No material is ever as delicate and dreamy as white lace. At the same time it breathes both innocence and sensuality. A creative challenge for designers to reinvent the romantic fabric season after season. For ss2015 white lace came in many shapes and sizes. Long, floor sweeping gowns at Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Valentino and Erdem. Short, playful dresses at Blumarine, Oscar de la Renta and Alberta Ferretti. Lace tops at Givenchy and Cavalli. Portraying a completely different image in every show. Styled with gladiator sandals (Chloé) or black leather thigh boots (Givenchy). On the streets white lace got both a sporty and seductive twist as it gave every girl a summer proof femininity boost.

The full on eastern influenced fashion collections might have had their peek by now, Japanese references are still a ‘thing’. Like the kimono, which is popping at certain big shows (Gucci, Céline) this season. Not necessarily interwoven in a bigger oriental theme, but long silhouettes, accentuated waists and wide sleeves just randomly introduced. Tough and bondage-like at Alexander McQueen, elegant and crispy clean at Marni, sweet and girly at Temperley London. On the streets too, the kimono style has proven to give women of all ages that super elegant appearance. Whether quilted, made out of python leather, floral printed or denim; this fashion piece is ever so ladylike and original. C’mon kimono!

Shirts, jackets, sweaters and pants are giving the flora & fauna treatment and haven’t looked this chic before. Whether full on printed (Givenchy, Cavalli and Antonio Marras) or combined with basics (Hermes, Paul Smith) menswear is in bloom!
Trend Report SS2015: Boho/Hippie

Regardless of what styles are in, the hippie/boho look is always a winner in summertime. This season, besides the regular fringe, suede and floral printed touches, it includes airy, floor sweeping dresses. Some figure hugging (Cavalli), others loose and floaty (Chloé). Revealing bits and pieces of the skin through sheerness, cut-outs, high slits and lace detailing. A luxury feel inspired by Talitha Getty outspoken style is created by adding glam jewelry and highly decorated accessories. Ethnic, graphic and kaleidoscopic motifs are alternated by nudes and tan colored numbers. Bringing touches of Marrakesh from the seventies to the here and now.
Trend Report SS2015: Piece of Khaki

Whether safari, army or party is the code you’re sticking to, khaki is your go-to-color this season. Popping up in major runway shows like Chanel, Gucci and Marc Jacobs; army has you (almost) forgetting all about the chicness of black. Making this specific type of green you’re latest ‘basic’ shade next to navy, gray and, thus, black. And there’s no wondering why this color is a fashion favorite. This shade is both chic and tough. Slightly oversized, large pockets, epaulets, waist belts and a no-nonsense attitude will make everyone in this season’s hottest color look like a stunna. Easy as that, piece of khaki!
Rochas Catwalk Fashion Show Paris FW2015
Ninety already; Rochas is turning into a grande dame. A jubilee that did not antagonize Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s attempt to reach the modern woman though. For his third Rochas collection he did look back. At a collection from 1934, to be precise. Swallows was his theme of choice, which he translated through prints and embroideries. Dell´Acqua´s choice of fabric was delicate and winter proof. Even his cocktail dresses were made out of the softest, warmest teddy like materials. Meanwhile lace and fur, velvet and sheerness magically merged together. In a palette of caramel browns as well as silver, grey, navy, burgundy and a surprising touch of yellow. The show´s feminine silhouette was visible through midi skirts, dresses and coats; not a pair of pants at sight. Waists were accentuated, bow blouses elegantly tied and body parts gracefully covered. A classical image, yet one with a definite modern appeal. The proof that age is just a number and Rochas, led by Dell´Acqua, still has what it takes.
Round up Paris Menswear Trends SS2015
As Milan’s menswear trends evolved in Paris we got a fresh fashion dose in the French capital. Apart from women accompanying the male models (Miucci Prada set the trend alright) lots of new stories were told. Some more surprising than others, we must admit. Sportswear and primary colors being the more obvious trends, while harnesses and some impressive beauty looks came as more of a shocker. Here our five trends that caught our eyes.
From weird looking hairdos to strong eyebrows and full body paint; crazy beauty at Rick Owens, Comme des Garcons, Raf Simons and Junya Watanabe.
Orang-y red, blue and yellow; primary colors set the summer trend at the likes of Carven, Dior, Dries van Noten and Louis Vuitton.
The sleeveless jacket made his appearance in leather, denim and cotton, mostly worn on top of T-shirts and shirts at Lanvin, Ann DeMeulemeester and Raf Simons.
Boxing pants, leather motor suits and sporty stripes represented the sporty vibe for summer 2015 at Givenchy, Kenzo, Margiela and Moncler.
Not necessarily a trend for average Joe, but Dries van Noten, Rick Owens and Vivienne Westwood sure spiced things up with their bondage inspired leather harnesses.

Some seventies, a few fantasy worlds and quite a bunch of technologically produced graphic prints hit the streets the previous editions of fashion week. The print variations seemed endless, the color mostly used blue and shades or purple. Now this trend doesn’t really seem to be for the subtle style lovers; fully dressed in busy prints is the way to go according to our streetstyle heroes. Ralph Lauren, DvF, Edun, BcBg Azria and Zimmerman already showed you how it’s done on the runway. Now you need to go and try this trend for yourself. Go graphic!
Round up Milan Menswear Trends SS2015
The menswear shows of Milan Fashion Week have come to and end. So while the fashion crowd moves on to Pareee we’re taking a quick look at some of the Milan menswear trends. Which – apart from the regular slim suit, the stripes and the checks – was about sensuality (so many torsos at sight at Armani Dsquared, Fendi and Versace) and things less sexy (Teva slippers combined with suits, as seen at Fendi, Prada and Armani). In between: some great denim variations (paint splashed, with leather details, destroyed, bleached), nude and sand colored looks (Calvin Klein, Jil Sander) and a wide selection of new & improved sweatshirts at Bottega, Calvin Klein and Antonio Marras (we just can’t seem to get enough).
