Until january 12th 2011 the designer store of Margreeth Olsthoorn in Rotterdam presents some wonderful and special fashion-photos of Peter Stigter aan de Muur, the charity-project of Peter Stigter. While you are looking for some great items on sale in the store (the lovely Margreeth Olsthoorn sells Margiela, Chalayan, Vibskov, Klavers van Engelen, Spijkers & Spijkers and Acne) you can pop in to pictures of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Madonna’s, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Givenchy. Margreeth Olsthoorn already fell in love with the Finale of Sonia Rykiels anniversary-show, the photo that’s presented behind her desk.

H&M opening avenue des Champs-Elysées

On Monday night H&M proved fashion week doesn’t always have to be about high-end, expensive fashion. The Swedish fashion label opened a brand new flagship store on the famed avenue des Champs-Elysées. H&M held a cocktail party and invited hundreds of people. And the best part: everyone was able to shop with 25% discount.
I sure couldn’t resist that and went home with three dresses and two pairs of leather gloves. Perhaps I’ll wear them to the fashion shows today…
The 2,800 square meters store is located right at the heart of avenue des Champs-Elysées. So if you’re looking for fashionable yet low-priced clothing, this brand new H&M is the place to go to.

Daily favorites in Paris
Every day there is a short list of favorites I’ve seen at the shows. Yesterday the collection of Dries really stood out because of his extra-ordinairy and casual mix of masculine and feminine looks, especially the oversized jackets I loved.
I was also struck by the hair and make up at Limi Feu, the big wide curly hair, one eye hidden and the other made up with black eyeliner and a thick layer of mascara. An the soundtrack was great too, classical music mixed with phrases sung by Billy Holiday.
The day ended with Rue du Mail by Martine Sitbon. The designer played with sheer, colored layers over black or cream dresses. My favorite is the blue dress with visible seams and pleats. The layering look very dynamic and modern.

Bonjour Paris! Having breakfast at the courtyard of Hotel d’Albion, the temporary headquarters of Team Peter Stigter. Discusisng the schedule for today with runner Muriel Schouten, streetfashionphotographer Joris Bruring, chef de bureau Lisa Klappe, colleague Jonas Gustavsson and editor Jetty Ferwerda. Peter Stigter is there of course, he took the picture.
Check out the blog daily. Our plans for today: Rochas, Dries van Noten, Gareth Pugh and we take a look at the show of good old Pierre Cardin – see what he’s up to.
On our way to Paris
Yesterday Peter and his colleague Jonas took the train from Milan to Paris, a 7 hour drive with stops in the Alps.
It’s goodbye to Milan

Three fashionweeks are over, one is still left. Tonight we pack our bags and tomorrow-morning we’ll leave for Paris. Wednesday the fashionweek starts with Rochas, Gareth Pugh and Dries van Noten, and the 7th of october it’ll all end with MiuMiu.
For now it’s goodbye to Milan, the city we enjoy the most. Not only because of those friendly Italians, but also because of the great food. We take two big shoppingbags of foodies back home.
Little celebration
Today we celebrated the fact that Alessandro has been our friend/driver for 10 years now. So we surprised him by dressing up his car with some guirlandes. It’s always a pleasure to be in the car with Ale. He not only provides us with food and drinks, he is also the fastest driver around and always in for a laugh and a good story.
(And I still think he is the brother of George Clooney, but he keeps denying it)
Time for an espresso
The reason Team Peter Stigter loves to be in Milan is not only because of the great food they serve, but also because of the best espresso and cappuccino they have. This morning we enjoyed our coffee outside the hotel, the sun was shining again and we were ready for another beautiful day of fashion and fun!
