Pucci Catwalk Fashion Show ss2010

Peter Dundas showed some highly elegant summerwear in his second collection Emilio Pucci. Superfeminine and airy dresses dictated the Pucci-look for summer 2010. Dundas used snake prints, shiny and transparent fabrics and sequins. Lots of nudes, some silver, black and yellow could be seen. And some outfits in different shades of blue felt like diving into the ocean. The models showed beautiful bathingsuits with geometrical cutouts in unexpected places. There were a few pants, worn just below the knee, with buttons on the side. But those paled into insignificance next to some dresses. All eyes were on a long yellow dress with an extremely low cut neckline and the perfect finishing. A white dress almost looked like a wedding dress. Apart from a few bags and some gold-buckled belts there were no accessories. However, because of all the sequined and silver details you didn’t even miss them. Overall Dundas designed some perfect outfits in which you can lounge about on the beach or party until midnight. (Tess van Daelen)
Moschino Catwalk Fashion Show ss2010

Rosella Jardini opened her SS2010 show for Moschino with a short version of a Chanel-looking suit. This outfit was combined with black tights, golden shoes and earrings. The look was completed with a scarf on top of the model’s head, some bangles and a bag, all in the shape of a heart. With this first look the fashion was set for a diverse and mixed collection. There were puffy dresses and skirts with prints of hearts, flowers and cherries. A jacket was made of golden chains, held together by a black leather body. One model showed a black dress on which the lines of a surreal coat were stitched in white. There were some playful coats with bows and layering. The models wore gold accessories like belts decorated with tassels or necklaces with deep red cherries. To the end the clothes became even more mixed when prints were combined in several patchwork looks. Mix ‘n Match at Moshino… (Tess van Daelen)
Marni Catwalk Fashion Show ss2010

Marni ss2010 is all about a soft and fluid silhouette in sun-bleached colors (pink, yellow, blue, white, gold) with a vintage 20’s feeling. T-shirts, chemisiers, blouses, tunics, skirts and dresses were layered, tied together with ribbons or belts and often worn with black&white striped leggings or kneelength bikershorts. Very laidback and relaxed but with enough elegance to wear it to the office. No necklaces, but wouden bangles, antique earclips and a silk scarf wrapped around the head. Large flowerprints were mixed with stripes, dots or checks, combinations of materials (silk & cotton, linen & paper, organza & suede) gave it all a sense of modernity, the unexpected and a touch of the recherché.

Gucci Catwalk Fashion Show ss2010

Gucci ss2010 looks like a real Gucci collection: bold patterns, tight fitted dresses, a good balance between tacky, sporty and sophisticated and with a lot of commercial power. It was as if Barbarella met with Tomb Raider. Dresses with cutouts and silver ornaments, lace-up and inserts of net-fabrics were all over, but also that typical Gucci miniskirt and leather motor jacket. Large Ikat-prints gave dresses and tops a more elegant feel, espacially mixed with black.
