Hunkemöller Backstage AIFW FW2011
Actually, it was a great collection of Hunkemöller. Classic with a twist, beautiful colors and a good styling. Backstage you could see the models had big fun and felt sensual yet strong in the lingerie. The bright red wigs added a punch to the whole performance.
Elsien Gringhuis Backstage AIFW FW2011
Backstage at Elsien Gringhuis people were gasping at the shoes of designer Rosanne Bergsma, the futuristic looking wedges in white an metal matched perfect with the collection of Gringhuis. As did the straight hair and make-up with focus at the eyebrow.

It was a small salon-show of Elsien Gringhuis, but worth visiting. And after a rough party-nigt downtown the real fashionpro’s and -lovers showed up to watch the show.
Supertrash Backstage AIFW FW2011
The backstage-atmosphere at Supertrash was relaxed and cheerful. Everybody wanted the show o be a wonderful happening and they succeeded. The make-up was glamourous, colorful and shiny matching the sexy, sensual and strong collection.
Frontrow Supertrash AIFW FW2011
A lot of people were dissappointed they could not attend the Supertrash-show or watch it live via the official website of AIFW. So they could not know who was sitting frontrow either. We spotted a lot of famous people from the lovely Georgina Verbaan to Waylon. Every frontrow-guest had a guard keeping their seat free and wearing a T-shirt with their name on. Hereby a selection of the celebs who attended the show.

Like two weeks ago during the presentation of her haute couture collection Ilja Visser again chose a special way of showing her new ready to wear collection. She chose the MC theater as the location and opted for Cirque de Burlesque as a theme for the show.
When we arrived we received fancy scroppino’s, popcorn and cotton candy and some clownesque people led us to the room where the show started. There some circus attributes (balls, swing, trampoline, ladder) were put in place for the models to pose with them.
“..So come on, escape with me
To a world where magic can be..”
Ilja designed pleated pants, tough denim shorts, capes, airy black tops and chunky knitwear (hand-knitted). There was a lot of black, combined with shades of grey, red and a graphic print. The models had large afro wigs and some red and blue details in their make-up. They looked very streetwise in their funky, young and feminine clothes.
Ready to Fish Backstage AIFW FW2011
The hair and colorful make up took some time to get ready backstage at Ready to Fish, the ready to wear-collection of Ilja Visser. Especially the braiding and curling, but the result was stunning and playful. The curly hair fitted perfectly with the theme of the collection.
Tony Cohen Catwalk Fashion Show FW2011

Tony Cohen usually shows his collections in New York. Not this season; as his show was part of the Amsterdam Fashion Week. He did bring some international allure to Amsterdam though; he hired topmodel Kim Noorda to open the show.
His collection was inspired by classic sixties couture and did indeed appear very luxurious. Tony used rich materials like silk, poly crepe and chiffon, mixed with typical winter fabrics like wool, cashmere and lambskin.
The tops and dresses all were very richly embroidered and looked very shiny. Tony also used a lot of draping and pleating in his designs. Therefore the designs didn’t look very tight.
As one of the few designers this week Tony Cohen showed some very good winter designs. Especially his coats (a black wool kimono, a nude lambskin, a pleated overcoat) looked warm and comfy.
The jewelry could have been a little more subtle, but altogether the collection looked lovely.
Frontrow Tony Cohen AIFW FW2011
Marco and Leontine Borsato were one of the celebs that attended the Tony Cohen-show. They watched a sensual and feminine collection inspired by the sixties. There were also a lot of young fashionlovers frontrow, fashion-journalists like Fiona Hering brought their daughters to the show.
