Dressed their best the Dutch fashion crowd (by exception) moved from Amsterdam to The Hague last night. The occasion? For the sixth time the annual Dutch Fashion Award show took place in the Grote Kerk. Now you already know which designers were nominated and who won the big Mercedes Benz Dutch Fashion Award 2012. Yet what you haven’t seen, is who were there. And we can assure you we spotted quite a few very classy guests in front of our photo wall. Editors, buyers, actrices, writers all with two things in common: a passion for fashion and an impeccable sense of style. On Friday 4 November night the whole Dutch fashion scene gathered at the Grote Kerk in The Hague. Everyone was dressed to impress for the Dutch Fashion Award ceremony following the dresscode of the night: black tie. It was a parade of black tuxedo’s, long evening gowns, high heels and a mix of some outstanding colorful creations. Wanna see how that looked like? The dresscode of this year’s ELLE Style Awards was Rock ‘n Royalty. And since the best dressed person of the evening could win an award everyone really put an effort into looking exquisite. As you would expect we saw many leather pants and leggings, a lot of tiara’s and crowns, many sequined looks and of course some lace.

Over four hundred guests attend the Dutch Fashion Awards in The Hague this year. Besides all the Dutch fashion insiders there were also a lot of sponsors. Each with their own interpretation of the dress code of the evening, black tie. We could spend hours watching everyone wearing the most impressive gowns and party dresses.
