It’s time to say goodbye to New York. And to say goodbye to Joe Edward Cecala, the manager of the Holiday Inn. And thank him for taking care of us! We had a great time in the Holiday Inn and next time will even be better. Thanks Joe!

Fashionclash Maastricht 2010 kicked off today. The event where art meets fashion in exhibitions, shows and meetings. Although it’s a rather young project the organisation was able to present a mature program. Of course Peter Stigter is present, not onlsy to shoot the shows but also with an exhibition of his charity-project and Streethearts, the contest where the best street-outfit will be rewarded with an voucher of 500 euro to spend at Maasmechelen Village.

Back to your roots is one of the big lifestyle-trends at this moment, and regarding to the young Norwegians our photographer Muriel Schouten spotted during her visit in Norway this trend also considers clothes. Well sort of. The Norwegians celebrate the signing of their constitution in 1814 in their own way: they dress themselves in traditional costumes, young and old, walk in parades carrying banners and playing music. They are proud of their dress and it shows! It’s original and pure, beautiful and real.
And now we know for sure where the likes of John Galliano take their inspiration from.

Garage Turenne in Paris is one of the favorite spots of (mostly Belgian) designers to show their collection. At least you can take shelter for the rain and the wind during the loooooong waiting.
