The winner of Maasmechelen Strike a Pose – a collaboration between Maasmechelen Village an Team Peter Stigter during Fashionclash 2011 – has been announced this afternoon. The duo in the picture won a gift-voucher of 500 euro to be collected at Maasmechelen Village. They will have to send an email to [email protected] to learn how the can get their award. Conditions are:
– The giftcard has to be collected before august 31st 2011/ the giftcard can be used in all shops at Maasmechelen Village until one year after issue-date/the gift-card has to be collected by the people at the picture and they will have to present a recent ID/there’s only ONE giftcard, when there are more persons at the picture they will have to divide the money

Fashionclash 2011: backstage 2nd and 3rd day
Backstage at the second and third day of Fashionclash Maastricht 2011 the make-up and hair-team worked really hard to get the models ready for three big shows and the graduationshows 2011 of the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht.
And the result was worth looking at. There was even time to have some fun and read.

At the end of this fashion weekend a winner of The Fashionclash Pose will be selected by the Team, Maasmechelen Village and the Fashionclash Team. The winner receives a large print of his/her photo and a shopping voucher from Maasmechelen Village worth 500 euro.

Arnhem Mode Biennale: on the street

Team Peter Stigter went on the streets of Arnhem to teach thirteen photographers the tricks of good streetfashion photography. After a short lecture at cafe Dudok in Arnhem they left with one of our photographers to catch some fashionable and interesting dressed people. It wasn’t easy – Dutch like their casual style – but the result was promising.

It was an exciting day today at the second day of Arnhem Mode Biennale. Team Peter Stigter held their first workshop ever in collaboration with Dudok Arnhem. Thirteen men and women registered for the workshop streetfashion photography and they picked out a wonderful sunny day.
First Peter Stigter and Joris Bruring held a short lecture about the history of streetphotography – Henry Cartier Bresson, Bill Cunningham, The Sartorialist – and after a delicious lunch in the garden of Dudok Arnhem the students were sent off to the centre of Arnhem. Guided by one of our teammembers- Jon, Jeannette or Joris – they had to practice what they learned. And it wasn’t easy. We really admire their courage and the way they worked at the streets, it’s not easy to handle people and stay focused at the same time!

Amber has arrived in Arnhem and a lot of fashion-lovers and -insiders celebrated her arrival yesterday afternoon. We spotted designers Bas Kosters, Mada van Gaans and Sjaak Hullekes amongst others and much more well dressed people in Dutch fashion.

Yesterday afternoon the Arnhem Mode Biennale 2011 was officially opened. So Amber finally has arrived in Arnhem and a large crowd of fashion-insiders and -lovers welcomed her at the Akzo-grounds.
In the morning the international press got a private viewing, followed by the opening ceremony and a very pleasant diner where guests were seated like a large family.One of the highlights was the lighting of the candle/installation of AF Vandevorst – the sleeping beauty will shine her light during the Biennale. Let’s see what surprise she has in mind for us.
