That also means the chunky sneaker has become a bit of a rare sight during the fashion weeks already. But before we officially say goodbye to this oh so comfy footwear trend, let´s celebrate the dad sneaker one last time. Some trends start out on the streets and end up on the catwalk a season later. With this trend it might have worked the other way around. Remember we discussed that Rainbow Colored trend back in December? Well, it showed off on the streets just a little bit later. Yellow, orange, red and pink are by far the public’s favorite shades. Throw them all together in one look and you’ve got the rainbow trend covered. Perfect way to brighten up a gloomy day? Balenciaga, Burberry, DelPozo, Emilio Pucci and Burberry knew that all along.

Beauty Trend SS2019: Wet Look

It´s smooth, it´s slick, it´s sophisticated: it´s the perfect look for a summer beach day or a night at the MET gala. We love a good WET look just like the hair heroes backstage at Balmain, Victoria Beckham and Marni. Perf coupe also on rainy days such as the past couple have been here in Amsterdam. Streetstyle trend SS2019: See through Things

Who needs lace, mesh or tule when you can dress up in plastic! A big theme out on the streets were see through plastic items. Like those raincoats and Fendi trenches. Like all kinds of see through bags (yes, we know exactly what you’re carrying in your handbag). Like those (semi transparent and sheer) skirts that make you wanna wear fancy (& fashionable) bottoms all of a sudden. And let’s not forget that good old see through umbrella that makes a good streetwear picture, even on a rainy day. Are you all for transparency? Wrap up in plastic, it’s.. so summer 2019 😉

Streetstyle trend SS2019: Glam Slam Margiela bags

And so it seems the fashion crowd has a new favorite bag this season. It’s big, it’s quilted and basically looks as soft as a pillow. It’s the Glam Slam by Maison Margiela. Now ofcourse the fact that all these streetstyle stars were carrying the new branded it bag on the same day out on the streets of Paris could mean it’s all just a partnership between brand and influencers. Yet, seeing our favorite style icons like Erika Boldrin and Tiffany Hsu with their Glam Slam bags sure makes ‘m look highly desirable. Smart move, good marketing and simply a stunning statement bag.

Menswear trend AW2019: Utility Mode On

Function meets fashion is not just a big theme for the ladies, this and upcoming season the guys too will see a lot of utility clothing. Like large pockets, big zippers, extra bags in all kinds of random places. And when you’re talking functionality there’s one piece of clothing that can’t be forgotton: the body warmer. High waisted with a perfect little kitten heel underneath. Paired with an oversized blazer and a waist belt. Sunnies on, it bag under one arm, hands in the pockets and off you go. It’s the perfect spring color. It’s fresh, it’s sweet, it’s a sorbet combination of banana & limone on your Sicily holiday. We simply adore this Summer color. As do some of the bigger brands lik Chanel, Etro, Ferragamo and Marc Jacobs. Dress up head to toe in yellow as seen at Sies Marjan, Ferragamo and Etro in suits and trenches. Go seventies chic as seen at Alexa Chung. Or opt for a light yellow statement maker like that airy skirt we captured at Charlier or that ruffled up top Marc Jacobs sent out. Catwalk Trend Spring/Summer 2019: Short shorts & long sleeves

Not a lot of rules apply in fashion these days. There’s not a print mix, color clash or gender blending ensemble that doesn’t fit in with the current style image. Yet certain things just work like peanut butter and jelly. One example? The fact that short shorts just work so damn good with long sleeved tops. It makes the hottest hot pants look luxurious. The most destroyed denim shorts become classy. It all comes down, of course, to not showing too much skin. And if you’re already showing off below, better keep it modest on the top.
