Paper bag pants, tucked in shirt, cashmere sweater, tweed jacket; we’re talking preppy chic today. One of the big fall/winter trends for 2020. A little (big) bow here and there. A sophisticated pair of sunnies. A classic brown leather bag tossed around your shoulder. A good pair of croc loafers perhaps? And you’ll be all prepp(y)ed once fall comes knocking. Plus: this look never goes out of style really.
Earthy tones are making a huge comeback and so it comes as no surprise we’ve got terracotta shades all over our moodboard. It’s out with black, white and concrete (not really, but you get the idea) and in with the rusty/burnt brown hues. Seen at Chloé, Etro and Ferragamo. Worked out so stylish at Lanvin, Stella McCartney and Oscar de la Renta. And celebrated big time at Hermes. There’s no denying this fall/winter shade.
Wear it around your hips or cross body. Whatever you do, don’t be afraid to make a statement. Cause fanny packs, shoulders bags and tool belts for guys are allowed to be outspoken too. A pop of blue and a touch of yellow show you’ve got taste and some balls to pull it off. Hands in your pockets, easy does it.
It might be over a month ago since we witnessed the graduation shows at KABK. Yet that doesnt mean we can’t look back on some of the amazing collections presented. Like this one by Karis Lindelien. Fresh yet dramatic. Light yet colorful. Out of the box yet wearable.
Nothing makes a picture more magical than a ray of sunlight. See how these couture show goers managed to perfectly catch that golden hour in Paris. A seventies color palette, statement silhouettes and that light… We figured these images needed their own shine.
What better way to vamp your summer outfit than with a bright yellow bag. The extra touch to an all green look. The perfect pair with a little blue bag. The ultimate office ready accessory paired with a pair of pleated skirts and a blazer. Or just a pop of bright color to an all black look. It’s definitely no classic, but once you’re into it a little yellow bag can become an ever greener too.
Here’s a few images from one of our favorite KHU graduation shows. Real people going real places, by Leila el Alaoui. “We’re all tourists in some way. The tourist has become part of our environment. The moment we go on holiday we become a tourist ourselfves. And the moment we return home, this dissapears. How come we have the urge to get out and explore? The urge to escape from reality, escape from it all? The essence of tourism is trying to reconcile fantasy with reality.”
Chances are you’re walking in your swim shorts all month. But in case you want to opt for something a bit ‘dressier’, we’ve selected some August Inspiration outfits for you. From Kenzo to Vuitton, and from Prada to Versace. Bright colors, busy prints and unexpected accessories are your key words this month. It’s high fashion for high summer days. Have a great time while looking extraordinary fashionable 😉
Maximalist jewelry lovers can go all out this summer. Statement earpieces or should we say earparties are THE look of the high season. Just look at the models at Dolce & Gabbana, McQueen and Chanel. Those chandeliers can be so big they look somewhat intertwined with your necklace. No holding back now. Go big are go home. Enjoy the (ear)party!
Yes, we know, summer is in full swing. And you’re probably all off to some exotic destination. But before we’re changing our focus to f/w2020 we’d like to take a closer look at the graduation collections we’ve shot last month. ‘Casue there’s just too much good stuff to let just pass by. So here’s one of our favorites, shown at the HKU graduation shows, by Studio Noji. We simply love the dazzling photo prints. Not to mention the accessories; the caps, the sunglasses, the bags (incl. price tag). Such a prof collection these items could go on sale right away. And the scarf + cap combination is something we’re already rocking this summer month.
Our own fashiondictionary In Siberia It is the worse place on the photographers-platform. It's never in the middle, but always on the very side behind everyone else where you can hardly see the runway. Your pictures will look very bad.
